MY CREATIVE PROCESS

When I initially approached my capstone project, I structured my work plan in a linear format that would require me to finish one step the week before moving on to the next. However, after researching time management techniques in my CPSA250 class I realized that this strategy was not best tailored to my way of working. I found that when I started working, for large projects I like to jump from one part to another in order to make sure I make incremental progress on each thing. For certain things, such as my final concept drawings, I would need to complete the roughs first. But, for things like my animation portion, I could start in the same week as I started other concept art. To keep myself disciplined, I decided to try the Pomodoro technique which required me to set a timer for 20 minutes, work, and then another timer for 10 minutes where I take a break, and then another 20 minutes when I keep working. In order to keep this tailored to me, I decided to switch up what part of the project I was working on each time. This managed to keep me on track while also keeping my attention. With this method, I managed to make enormous strides in my work so I definitely plan on using it for future projects.
