About Me

Biography

Emma Brown is a Sophomore from Laurel, Maryland studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland.

Emma's interests can be summed up into one word: movement. While her professional interests include robotics research, her artistic endeavors span far and wide. Her main art concentration is digital art and animation. She has always had a keen eye for how a certain movement can convey a certain thing thus, she enjoys exploring these mediums as a way to tell complex stories. As a College Park Arts Scholar, Emma aims to explore the animation process further with her capstone project. She is determined to learn as much as she can about the medium so she can fully express all that she has learned throughout her time in the program.

Once she graduates with her bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Emma intends to work as a professional research engineer while doing independent artwork on the side. After some time, she aims to pursue her master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and continue with her artistic education.
